Attendance app
Mobile-friendly web app for daily class check-in
Lethal Kickboxing Academy is a strictly competitive boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai gym in Chennai, founded by Coach Saravanan. The gym does not train hobbyists — it builds athletes on a clear path from fundamentals to district, state, national, and international tournaments under the Lethal banner. Before Autonode, that path lived in notebooks, spreadsheets, and memory.
Coach Saravanan tracked attendance, fees, age, blood group, and competition readiness by hand. His standards are strict: at least 80% attendance and three months of classes before sparring, then 30 logged sparring sessions before a student can compete under the gym's name. Recalculating who qualified — and answering parents about fees and class attendance — consumed hours every week. Growth relied entirely on word of mouth in a city full of premier martial arts gyms, with no owned presence to capture high-intent search traffic.

At the start of every class, Coach Saravanan marks attendance in the app — about five seconds. That single action updates each student's attendance rate, fee status, and progression toward the next unlock. No end-of-week reconciliation, no hunting through paper registers.
The gym's rules are non-negotiable: 80% attendance and three months of training before sparring, then 30 sparring sessions before competition clearance. The app enforces those thresholds and surfaces who is eligible, who is close, and who still needs work — so the coach never has to recalculate by hand.
Each student has their own page showing exactly how many classes remain before sparring unlocks, how many sparring sessions stand between them and competition, and where they sit on the path to district, state, national, and international stages. Parents see fee due dates and whether their kids are actually showing up — no more chasing the coach on WhatsApp.
Age, blood group, attendance history, and payment status live on each member profile. The coach can filter the roster by who is regular, who is competition-ready, and who needs attention — then invest guidance where it will move athletes to bigger stages.
Parents no longer need to message the coach to find out if fees are overdue or whether their child attended this week. The fee tracker ties payment status to each student profile so families stay informed and the gym stays paid on schedule.
After the app stabilized operations, we built a marketing site that communicates how seriously Lethal takes competition and discipline — not a generic gym template. Combined with local SEO, the site now ranks for high-intent near-me keywords and delivers around four qualified leads every day.
qualified leads from organic search — in a Chennai market packed with premier martial arts gyms that previously ran on word of mouth alone.
The admin view aggregates attendance trends, fee collection, and progression status across the entire gym. Instead of guessing, Coach Saravanan opens one screen and knows exactly which athletes are ready for the next stage — and which regulars deserve more attention on the path to state and national podiums.
Before: Word of mouth only
After: ~4/day from organic search
Before: Manual spreadsheets
After: ~5 seconds at class start
Before: Recalculated by hand
After: Automatic from gym rules
Before: Unclear who was ready
After: Coach picks with certainty
Each layer was chosen around ownership: the public experience, the admin workflow, the data capture, and the systems that keep the business running without rented-tool drag.

"Before this, I was maintaining attendance, fees, blood group, age — everything — in spreadsheets and trying to remember who had earned sparring and who was ready to compete. Recalculating took forever, and parents kept asking the same questions. Now I take attendance in five seconds at the start of class, and the app tells me with certainty who can spar and who can fight under our name. Every student has their own page showing what they need to unlock next, so they train with a clear goal. After we launched, the gym grew tremendously — we've produced multiple state and national champions, and I can spot the regulars who deserve more attention for bigger stages. The website changed how people find us too. Chennai has no shortage of martial arts gyms, but we now get around four leads a day from search, and the design shows exactly how serious we are about competition and discipline."
